About the picture  : It was freezing inside the Grand Palais Chanel had provided all the guests with a beautiful monogrammed blanket and a small monogrammed vacuum flask filled with jasmin tea. I was impressed. The show was great. The models, one by one, did a tour of the arena then disappeared inside the giant sixty-foot white tower: Karl came out with the bride and everyone clapped. But then the tower began to move. There was a collective gasp as the outside of the tower slid up to reveal all the models, posed perfectly on a giant spiral staircase. It was the first time I had seen the usually sangfroid fashion crowd surprised.
